With the warmer months come all of the fun music festivals in Nashville, one that I’m especially excited about is CMA Fest. This year CMA Fest is June 6- June 9. Downtown Nashville transforms into a hub of food, music, and lots of activity.
If you want to do CMA Fest right, stay downtown and walk to all the different stages and events. Last year I stayed at Stay Alfred which is off Church Street. It’s across from Puckett’s, in the same building as Corner Pub and a hop, skip and a jump from Broadway. You can wander around and listen to music and easily pop back in your room to shower, nap, or enjoy their pool.
As a Nashville native and music lover, I’m sharing who I’m most excited to see at CMA Fest 2019.
Kelsea Ballerini– I have a special fondness for Kelsea she looks like a close friend of mine. I also met her at a Colgate event a few years ago and she was the absolute sweetest. Her 2017 album Unapologetically is such a gem and is one of my favorite country albums. She’s playing Nissan Stadium on June 6.
Carrie Underwood– I’ve loved Carrie since her American Idol days and loved her more when she was her husband’s #1 fan when he played with the Nashville Predators. Her voice is absolutely gorgeous and she puts on an incredible show! Carrie is playing Nissan Stadium on June 7.
Miranda Lambert & Pistol Annies– Girl power! These three women are powerhouses. Their songs are catchy, they’re a force to be reckoned with. See these ladies in action at Nissan Stadium on June 8.
Maddie & Tae– I saw these gals play at Ole Red last year and they were marvelous! These country gals are the cutest BFFs and harmonize so well in their songs. They’re a must-see at the Chevy Riverfront Stage on June 7.
Gavin DeGraw– Anyone else LOVE Gavin DeGraw in high school? His songs ruled the airwaves in the 2000’s. I’d love to see him at the Chevy Riverfront Stage on June 7.
Jessie James Decker– Did anyone else watch Eric & Jessie on E!. I loved this adorable couple on the show and saw Jessie James Decker’s phenomenal talent for myself. Jessie recently opened a boutique called Kittenish in the Gulch and is performing on the Chevy Riverfront Stage on June 8.
Charles Esten– If you watched the TV Show, Nashville, you know Deacon Claybourne. Charles, or Chip as he’s known to locals, has a great voice and is playing the Budweiser Forever Country Stage on June 7. If you’re lucky you might see him at a karaoke bar. I’ve seen him at Santa’s Pub a few times!
