A few weeks ago, I headed to the Fairlane Hotel for the opening of their popup bar in the penthouse, Fairlane 54. Fairlane 54 has lots of disco balls, records, great lighting, and fabulous photo ops. The Fairlane team was kind enough to let me in so I could take some photos and boogie on my own!
It was so much fun putting outfits together and figuring out some disco-inspired outfits. If you’re heading to a Studio 54 or disco-themed party, I have three outfit ideas for you below!
What to Wear to a Disco Themed Party
Green Sequin Dress
First thing’s first, sequins are a must for a disco-themed party. I found this green sequin party dress on sale at ASOS and it’s a part of their Tall line. For $30, I have the pretty green sequin mini dress that has a little bit of a train for some drama. I styled it with some strappy heels, crimped/straightened hair, and some colorful, chunky earrings.

Gold Sequin Suit
When I think about Studio 54 I always think about Bianca Jagger and the outfits she put together. This gold cape and pant set from River Island are so fun and perfect for dancing the night away. The pants were a little short on my long legs but think it’s fine for a themed party or special occasion. I paired this gold set with a gold chain belt, black sandals, and gold hoops.

Dress With Gold Accents
I found this Dries Van Noten dress on sale at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago and can’t find it anywhere online. It’s a pretty orange/red color with the most beautiful gold shoulder detailing. With a dress like this, you keep the accessorizing to a minimum. I put my hair in a dramatic high pony and wore some simple gold hoops. I also was barefoot, what’s more disco than that?!
