We recently spent a week in Santorini and it was as beautiful as I’ve heard and seen on Pinterest if not more! It’s sunny, windy, and not humid. Nashville is so humid it’s ridiculous and it was a nice change. Santorini is warm and only rains about 18 days a year!
Being a girl I wasn’t satisfied with the items I was bringing and wanted something pretty, boho, and flowy. So I looked at my options on Free People. I was immediately drawn to this dress and when I saw the color was called Greek Blue, it was all the confirmation I needed. The dress arrived the evening before our trip and I was so excited to wear it!
What to Wear in Santorini: This Blue Free People Dress
My travel diary of Greece can be found here and we stayed in Thira/Fira. We liked Thira because it was centrally located and we were close to a lot of restaurants and shops! Everyone you looked on Santorini you saw pops of white and this Santorini Blue. It was breathtaking!
When we wanted to travel to another part of the island we took the public bus. The bus is crowded and hot but it’s cheap and gets you to where you need to go. So one morning we got up, braved the crowds (literally stood in the stairwell on a bus packed with people), and rode the bus to Oía. Oía is so beautiful and the town is where a lot of people go to take photos. We walked by three different couples taking their wedding photos on this day!

As you can see, my dress fit perfectly and was cool and comfortable. It also protected my shoulders and arms from further sunburn (I swear y’all I put on SPF 50 and burn within five minutes).
My Vera Bradley bags accompanied me on this trip and were with me wherever I went and were a lifesaver! If you see my Instagram, this leather backpack has been on major repeat!

If you follow my IG, you’ll know my husband and I had a slight travel mix-up on the way home. We flew from Athens to Heathrow but then was supposed to fly from Gatwick, London’s other airport, home. We had two hours to get off the plane, get our bags, go through passport control, get a cab to drive us 45 minutes, recheck in, etc. and it was too much. And to change our flight they could only get us out on Monday. So we’re in London until tomorrow! I’m not upset to be back in London and we’re taking advantage of our time here.
