I can’t be the only one who pulls out red lipstick when Valentine’s Day comes around. There’s something so sultry and romantic about a bold, red lip. I’m a girl who doesn’t look good in red, pink, or white. I have too much red in my skin tone so I have to be careful with what red lipsticks I try. Too orange and I look like a clown and too red and it clashes with my skin tone!

Laura Mercier – Rouge Ultime
I’m new to Laura Mercier, but so far I’m loving the brand! This is a fab color, it’s what I’m wearing in the photos today. I pair it with matching eyeliner for a flawless finish.
YSL – Chili Provocation
If you like your lipstick being more like a gloss, YSL is a great option. It comes with a wand and looks nice and shiny.
Chanel – Independante
While this lipstick is a little on the expensive side, it’s the creamiest lipstick and goes on so smoothly. I put this lipstick on if I’m going for a demure, lady-like vibe. The essence of CoCo Chanel herself!
MAC – Ruby Woo
Feeling sassy and fierce? Add some Ruby Woo to your leather jacket and moto boots! This MAC shade is famous for being the perfect shade of red. I’ve had this color for years and it never goes out of style.

I can’t even remember the last time I wore red lipstick – or any lipstick, for that matter. I’m not usually a fan of lip colors and my husband doesn’t like that they’re “sticky” haha so I usually went with a slightly tinted lip balm on a date night. However, I may have to look into one of these because wearing a red lip does tend to make me feel more confident!
