Disclaimer: I was hosted on this the Ultimate Memphis trip by Pettigrew Adventures. All bloggers had to have a negative COVID test before arriving and we followed all state and local guidelines. Masks were worn at all times and we were provided private dining and shopping events where the location was closed from the general public. Please check all state COVID guidelines before traveling.
Two weeks ago, I headed to Memphis for a press trip with Pettigrew Adventures. Eight other bloggers and I had an amazing trip to Memphis where we learned more about Pettigrew Adventure, our hosts, as well as saw all the wonderful things Memphis has to offer. I’m excited to share with you all the ultimate Memphis trip, all we did and give you some ideas for your next visit.

The Ultimate Memphis Trip
WHERE TO STAY
Our hosts, Pettigrew Adventures, own several Air BNB’s in the Memphis area that is absolute perfection. Our group was hosted at Brooxie’s House, Lucky Number 7, and Juanita’s House. I stayed at Brooxie’s House in the Tiger room.

Brooxie’s house was named after owner Morgan’s best friend Brooxie who died from Breast Cancer. The kitchen wallpaper is recipes and journal entries in her handwriting and every part of the house pays homage to her. This house had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. It was perfect for our stay!
They have several properties so you have your pick of cute places to stay!
WHERE TO EAT
Vibe Foods Superfood Bar – Vibe’s mission is to create healthy fresh and delicious food that nourishes and works with our bodies to achieve vibrant health. We had their açaí bowls for breakfast our first morning there and they were delicious! Love starting off the day on a healthy note.
Hen House Wine Bar – A new wine bar in the Memphis area, Hen House is a great spot to go for girls’ night. They had a private dining room painted a gorgeous dark green with the cutest boho decor. We dined on a charcuterie board, squash soup, fish, donuts, and chocolate-covered strawberries. It was a great time for all of us to sit and get to know one another in a casual setting.

JoJo’s Espresso Truck – There’s nothing better than rolling out of bed and getting coffee from an espresso truck parked outside! JoJo’s is a mobile trailer that sells specialty coffee beverages and freshly baked pastries. Their goal is to serve coffee in areas of Memphis, Tennessee, and surrounding suburbs that do not have quick access to specialty coffee shops. Let me tell you, they know how to make a cup of coffee!

Brunch at Stak’s – There’s nothing like a stack of pancakes at brunch. Stak’s has such fun retro vibes and bright blue booths. The girls and I shared a bunch of their delicious appetizers and each got a stack of different pancakes. Don’t forget coffee or a cocktail!

Cheese Please Company – On our first night, we arrived at the most amazing spread from Cheese Please Company! I’m a huge bread and cheese girl so you bet I was camped out by the table most of the night. They have branches in Nashville, Memphis, and Austin and you can have an amazing board delivered right to your door.
Southall Cafe – We woke up one morning and had the most bomb breakfast tacos from Southall Cafe. Three authentic raw masa tortillas filled with chorizo Verde, eggs, sweet potatoes, crema, queso fresco, and micro cilantro. I’m drooling just thinking about it!
El Mero Taco – On our first night the El Mero Taco truck paid us a visit. Y’all know I could eat tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so I was pretty excited when I saw a taco truck pull up! In addition to a taco truck, they have a brick-and-mortar in Cordova, outside Memphis. I recommend the southern fried chicken tacos!
Ecco on Overton Park – On our last night we had a family-style dinner at Ecco, an Italian restaurant. We had some amazing pasta dishes and appetizers. It was the perfect last meal in Memphis!

WHERE TO SHOP
Shelby Jewel – Shelby Jewel was kind enough to shut down their store for a few hours. They let us shop till we drop! This store is the queen of all things neutrals. I snagged some sunglasses and a comfy lounge set. Use code GRETA_HOLLAR15 for 15% off!

Mimi Morton – We had a Mimi Morton trunk show and to say I was obsessed with each and everything was an understatement. I got the Champagne Problem earrings, repurposed Hermes scarf mask, and Hot Girl Hot Sh** makeup pouch. If you check out their site and see something you want, use code gretahollar30 for a discount!

Pindi House Jewelry – We had a trunk show one afternoon with Pindi House Jewelry. The owner, Lydia, is so creative and uses antique elements that she sources from all over North America and Europe in her pieces. She receives regular shipments of shoe buckles, brooches, watch chains, pendants, and other items from the 19th and 20th centuries. Then, she goes to work, crafting them into pieces that are modern and stylish, but still, have a classic appeal. I got a beautiful bracelet and some earrings that I love!

Southern Avenue Company – Another popup that we had was with Southern Avenue Company. They have a brick-and-mortar location and have such cute pieces! I got some lovely silk pajamas that I’ve been wearing nonstop since I got home. They have a little bit of everything and it’s so fun to browse through all their pieces.

HOW TO GET DOLLED UP
Spray Tans with Honey Spray Tans – There’s nothing like starting a trip with a good spray tan. Thanks to Honey Spray Tans and their mobile tanning service, I had a gorgeous glow the entire time I was in Memphis.
Hair with Emily Cohen – Emily Cohen is the cutest human and made all my hair dreams come true! She gave me beach waves the first day and then some fun braids to keep it out of my fave while we went on our adventures. She’s the best and available for weddings or special events.
Makeup with Kasey Acuff – Y’all know I’m no beauty blogger. I stick with classic neutral eye shadow and black cat-eye and don’t venture too far off that. Kasey did my glam every morning and made me feel like a movie star. I mean check out the glam red lip she did for a day exploring Memphis!
Get an Immunity Drip with Rejuve Wellness – When you’re busy on press trips you sometimes need some extra hydration or some immunity for travel. That’s why I was so thankful for Rejuve Wellness! They came straight to us and gave us IVs while we had our hair and makeup done. I felt so refreshed and energized after!
WHAT TO DO
VIP Tour of Graceland – You can’t go to Memphis and not tour the home of Elvis Presley. Due to COVID, you need to book your visit online and wear a mask while touring inside the house and the museum. I share a birthday with Elvis so I feel a connection to him and loved learning about his life! In addition to the house, there are several places to eat on the property as well as tours of his private plane and his car collection.

Make Bath Bombs at Buff City Soap – Who doesn’t love a good, hot bath after a long day? We went to the Buff City Soap in Germantown and got to make our very own! We used the scent Narcissist and put in colors like yellow, blue, and teal. Then after we formed them and let them sit, put a little glitter on them to make them our own. I also got a few Shower Fizz’s while I was there to help with headaches. This would be such a fun activity for a baby shower or bachelorette party.

Customize Your Lipstick at Lantana Lipstick Lab – Another fun activity to do with your girlfriends is to customize your own lipstick color at Lantana Lipstick Lab. You tell them the color you want, and whether you want a gloss, matte lipstick, or some shimmer and they take it from there. They mix it up in front of you and then test it on yourself to see if there’s anything you wanted to change. I wanted a dark, vampy color so I had a dark purple and named it “Hollaback Girl.” It was honestly so much fun!
Tour Annesdale Mansion – Annesdale is a beautiful historic mansion and we had the most amazing dinner there. We got to walk around the mansion and take photos and then enjoy a meal from Andrea’s Cooktales. Southern Sparkle Weddings did the breathtaking tablescape and Candy Bar Personal Bartending made our yummy drinks. It was the perfect evening!

Tasting at Old Dominick Distillery – To round out the last day of our trip, we did a tasting at Old Dominick. We learned all of the history behind the brand and tried multiple whiskey’s, gins, and vodkas. The gin was my favorite part!

Hippie Bus Chick – Every event needs the Hippie Bus Chick to make a visit! This little bus is perfect for baby showers or wedding showers and the owner is as sweet as can be. You can also book the bus for other types of photos like family sessions or pregnancy reveals!

Mural Hunting – I posted my favorite murals in Memphis a few months ago. The city is so full of colorful and beautiful pieces. They’re fun gems to drive around and find!

Peabody Hotel – The Peabody is a Memphis landmark and the one thing you should do on your ultimate Memphis trip. We spent an afternoon having high tea, watching the ducks, and enjoying the fabulous view! After high tea, don’t forget to head to the roof to see the Duck Palace and the landmark Peabody sign.

Memphis is always a fun getaway. So grab your girlfriends and experience the ultimate Memphis trip for yourself!
