The summer can be a nightmare for tall gals. You want to be cool and wear shorts but it’s hard if they’re too short and constantly give you a wedgie. I’ve tried a few pairs this summer and had some hits and misses. I thought I’d share my 10 wins in today’s post and give my fellow tall girl a chance to have some great, stylish shorts for the summer.
Top 10 Best Summer Shorts for Tall Women
Make It Count Ivory Shorts
These are the shorts I’m wearing in today’s photos and love the high waist, gold buttons, and scallop detailing. They’re also insanely comfortable! They zip up the side and have a fair amount of stretch to them. I’m wearing a size large.
Tall Slouchy Mom Short in Washed Khaki
These pants are the best fabric to wear on a hot summer day! These shorts are nice and breezy and at a great price point of $35. Pair with a body suit or crop top with a pair of wedges and you have yourself a stylish outfit!
90s High Rise Cutoff Shorts
I’m a huge fan of Abercrombie’s denim shorts (they’re some of my favorite denim shorts for tall girls) and just got a new pair in the 90s High Rise. They also have great curvy shorts if you have hips and booty!
Satin Bermuda Short
If you need some shorts that are a little dressier, find some with a fun texture like satin and an accessory like a belt. These are less than $40 and come in three different colors. Great for a business lunch with a button-down or blazer!
Farallon Short
Every girl needs some lounge shorts for summer. Look no further than Athleta! I have these in black but just saw the green and might have to take the plunge. They’re made just for us tall girls and are great for running errands, meeting a friend for coffee, or walking around the neighborhood.
Madewell Paperbag Shorts
I love paperbag shorts! If you don’t have hips or a booty, they look so cute with a tank or graphic tee. If you have a little junk in the trunk like me, paper bag pants can be a hit or miss. Try it for yourself!
Coin Pocket Bermuda Shorts
When in doubt about the length of your shorts, go with Bermuda shorts. You’ll always know they’re long enough and since they’re more fitted in the leg they cover more and don’t ride up as much.
All of these are so cute! I love the Make It Count Ivory Shorts! I might get myself a pair!
