I spend a lot of time on Pinterest. I research trends, get outfit ideas, and find old photos to get inspired by. A few weeks ago I was scrolling through and looking at old 90s runway looks. I found three looks that I’m obsessed with and thought it would be fun to recreate them twenty years later with modern-day pieces. Check out the original photos below as well as my modern take on these classic 90s looks.
How to Recreate 3 Classic 90s Looks Using your Favorite Modern Day Pieces
Yellow Set With Gloves
All hail the queen Naomi Campbell! She is such a babe and looks amazing in the yellow set. I couldn’t find a set matching this exactly but found a pretty yellow set for $17. I also found some gloves for $5 and dyed them to match the set using some dye I already hat. The final accessory is adding some clip-in daisies to my hair for $2!

Pink Top/Black Skirt
It was crazy how close I got to recreating this look. I found this top for $19 and a similar skirt for $8. The only difference is the slit on the side and not in the front like in the photo below. I found this gold chain belt for $4. The chain isn’t as long as it is in the photo but it’s similar. You can’t beat the price! Now if only I can be a Chanel model.

White Skirt/Tee/Scarf
I already had a white tee and white denim skirt in my closet. All I needed was the accessories! I found a white scarf for $4.50, sunglasses for $4.50, and a silver belt for $4.50. This photo is from the 90s but is very old Hollywood and looks good even today. I found an old car to shoot in front of that looked so good.

It was so much fun recreating these classic 90s looks. I think it’s going to be the first of many for me! What are some of your favorite classic 90s looks? Let me know in a comment below!
