When we started staying home in early March, I was determined not to do any online shopping. I wanted to save money in case this situation lasts a lot longer than any of us anticipated. But as I’ve cleaned, purged, and gone through my house, I ended up getting a few things that I actually needed. I thought I’d share a few of my recent purchases today and the thought behind them!
Stay at Home Essentials: My Top 5 Recent Purchases
Cleaning out my drawers, I realized most of my pajamas were old t-shirts I’ve had for over 10 years. They were well past their expiration date and I wanted something pretty and comfortable to wear at night. So invested in some new PJs. Madewell has some of my current favorites and I love having some cute new jammies.
New Active Wear
I think everyone has bought new activewear during this time. It’s my new uniform and I throw on leggings and a sports bra every morning. Athleta had a great sale one weekend and I got some leggings (in tall for those of us with long legs) and two matching sports bras for less than $100.
Jacket to Throw On and Go
These days we go for a lot of walks and sit outside on our front porch. For chillier days, I just wanted something easy and warm to throw over whatever I was wearing. I found this neon leopard jacket on sale on Shopbop but it’s still available on Free People!
Tie-Dye Baseball Cap
Tie-Dye is such a huge trend right now and every girl has bought at least one tie-dye outfit while practicing social distancing. I found this LA cap and loved it. I’m not washing my hair as much a cap is perfect to throw on for a walk around the block or to go pick up food at my favorite restaurant.
Who wants to wear actual shoes right now? So I invested in some comfy Seychelle’s slides. They’re so comfortable and I can wear them with jeans or dresses when life goes back to some form of normal.
