It may not be Christmas yet but I’m already thinking to 2017 and what my new years resolution should be. Health is usually one thing people focus on when making goals and resolutions but let’s face it, we’re all busy. I blog, social media freelance, am in grad school and am constantly on the go. But what millennial isn’t?! So my goals need to be fairly easy and attainable. So today, I’ve partnered with Centrum® MultiGummies® to talk about New Years Resolution to help support your health that don’t take too much time.
Tip 1: Drink more water
Whether you’re at a restaurant or hanging out at home, drink water instead of other sugary beverages. In college I was drinking soda’s all the time and gave up cold turkey one day and never went back. I even carry water with me during the day so I stay hydrated. Drinking water gives my skin a healthy slow and helps keep my tummy flat!
Tip 2: Walk whenever you can
You don’t have to have that front row parking spot. Park a little further away and enjoy the exercise! Growing up, my big brother would have us park so far away when we went anywhere with him. This was mainly because he didn’t want anyone dinging or scratching his car but I grew up with that habit. If I’m at Walmart or going to a restaurant I park far away and just enjoy the extra exercise. When I worked for the state, a lot of us would walk around on our lunch breaks since we were downtown. I can power walk with the best of them!
Tip 3: Put down the candy bar
It’s easy to grab fast food or items from a vending machine to eat on the go. But with a little prep you could eat much better. I stock up on apples and granola bars and always have one in my purse. That way if I get hungry and want a snack, I have something healthy and available and won’t gravitate towards something unhealthy but convenient. I also make lunches whenever I can or eat at home before going out. This not only saves money but I eat healthier too!
Tip 4: Get plenty of sleep
This is a huge one. Getting your 7-8 hours a night helps with your immune system, your mood, your appearance, basically everything is better with a full-nights sleep! Also, a big thing is not taking your phone to bed. Leave it on a dresser in ‘do not disturb’ mode. This will keep your phone from beeping and waking you up.
Tip 5: Take vitamins
