Hi everyone. Long time no talk! I took a little week off to enjoy my California adventure. We had an amazing time and it was great taking some time off. Now, I feel rejuvenated and have some great ideas to move forward with the blog.
Last month, I headed to Memphis Fashion Week. I’d only been to Memphis once before and was excited to head back for a fun time with some great people. Today I’m giving you a recap on everything that went down!
The drive to Memphis is only three hours. I drove down with Hunter Premo, another Nashville blogger, and an absolute doll! We checked into the Peabody Hotel and were able to take some time to freshen up before the activities began.
MEMPHIS FASHION WEEK RECAP
The Memphis Fashion Week activities began with Fashion Night Out and a trunk show. There were drinks, light bites, a DJ, and trunk shows from some amazing Memphis designers. The featured designer for Memphis Fashion Week was Rachel Roy so her team was there showing off and telling the latest spring collection. I wanted one of everything!
While at FNO, all of the influencers got to meet. The influencers included Hunter, Rochelle from Beauti Curve, Lacey of The Glitter Gospel and the gals from Bluff City Lights (Mary of Living LeReve, Megan of Pretty in Pink, Collins of Collins Closets and Alex of Chic City Living).
After the Fashion Night Out event, we headed to Railgarten for food, drinks, and girl talk. It was so nice getting to know all these great blogger babes!
The next day (Friday), we headed to the Memphis Country Club for the Memphis Fashion Week Rachel Roy headliner luncheon. We had a delicious lunch and got to listen to Rachel Roy talk about business, what inspires her, and the thought behind her last collection. I wore this pretty black dress with cutouts and was perfect for the ladies who lunch!
Once lunch was over, we all changed and headed downtown to tour the Rock’n’Soul Museum. I grew up with my dad as an oldies DJ, so I found all of this so interesting!
After the museum, we took turns taking photos on Beale Street. As a girl who lives close to the famous Broadway, it was nice to have fun and hang out on another famous street in Tennessee.
That evening, we headed to the Guest House at Graceland to tour the property and have some appetizers. The hotel is so fun and beautifully decorated. We saw a cool penthouse suite and chowed down on some yummy appetizers.
The Memphis Fashion Week show that night was at none other than the Car Museum at Graceland. There were several great shows with models showing off local boutique pieces in-between shows. Rachel Roy showed her pieces last and it was such a glam show! The pretty floral pieces were accompanied by scarves and sunglasses and were so mod and retro.

The next day we spent the morning at The Feather’s Spa at the Peabody. I had a lovely manicure and it was so nice to relax! We headed to an influencer Luncheon at Restaurant Iris hosted by Memphis Travel. They had a mimosa bar and the yummiest breakfast!
Then it was time for a little shopping! We headed to Overton square to shop at a few local boutiques. We started at Crazy Beautiful. I was in love with everything in this store and left with a beautiful floral skirt.
Next, we headed to Alex’s boutique The Ivory Closet and I got some adorable denim shorts for spring.
We shopped till we dropped and had a great tour at Sun Studio. I’d never been before and loved hearing about the rich history. Knowing I was walking the same steps and path as so many great musicians was AMAZING!
Another quick outfit change later and we headed to our last event of the night, the Memphis Fashion Week Emerging Designer runway show at Memphis College of Art. I loved seeing all the talent Memphis has. So many great designers!
Looks like a really fun week! Love that dress on the model in the last photo, so pretty!
XOXO
