I was meeting a friend for coffee in Hillsboro Village when I noticed so many new boutiques had opened up. After wandering around I eventually walked into Scout & Molly’s. Instantly, I was obsessed with everything and anything in the store! I loved looking around and getting to know the people who work there. I found out that this store is a family run business with the mom and dad as owners and the daughter as the manager. To me, family-run businesses are awesome and mean to much more! When I asked Samantha, the store manager, about Scout & Molly’s this is what she had to say:
“Our store is a family run business. What makes it unique is that we tailor the styles in our store to fit the style of the Nashville community. Our client is at the heart of all our choices, which means knowing our clients on a personal level is very important to us. Our goal is to be a welcoming and warm boutique, and that our clients feel like they are shopping in their best friend’s chic and beautiful closet.” -Samantha Wedding, Manager
Christmas will be over in a few days and we’ll soon be saying goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017. So what are you doing for New Year’s? Are you going to a NYE soiree, a friend’s house, hosting your own event or hanging out at home? Today I have three outfits for these different events from Scout & Molly’s in Hillsboro Village. These looks will have you looking stylish and festive with one stop!
Scenario 1: Dress: Lavender Brown, $200 // Necklace: Lush by Ashley Westcott, $55
You’ve been invited to a fancy party and need something sparkly to wow your special someone. Scout & Molly’s had a bunch of great sequins, velvet and leather options that will knock the socks off your date! I love this sequined razorback dress, so sassy! I paired it with simple black pumps, a metallic clutch, statement necklace and red lip! A fur stole or velvet shawl will help keep your shoulders warm.
Scenario 2: Necklace: Banx Designs, $28 // Shirt: Twenty, $138 // Vest: Fifteen Twenty, $147 // Leather Leggings: RD Style, $77
So say you’re going to your best friends house to celebrate NYE. It’s not very fancy, there will be kids there and you need something cute but casual. I chose these leather leggings, a while long-sleeved top, gold tassel necklace and this fun fringe vest. I paired pumps with it since boots looked odd with the leather pants but some flats would look cute too.
Scenario 3: Champagne Dreams T-Shirt: South Parade, $64 // Black Denim: Henry & Belle, $189 // Leather Vest: Tart Collections, $168
So say you’re hosting a party of your own or snuggling on the couch with your boo to watch the ball drop. For this you only need jeans and a t-shirt! I love this black distressed denim and ‘Champagne Dreams’ t-shirt. It’s simple and oh so comfortable! If you’re having people over throw on this edgy leather jacket, black beanie and sneakers. My gold glitter Keds seemed perfect to welcome 2017!
