When you ask people what they think of when they think of me, most people say my smile. My smile is what I’m known for and it leaves a lasting impression. In the words of Buddy The Elf, “I just like to smile, smiling’s my favorite.”
My Smile Story With Colgate
My journey with my smile started when I was 7 years old. I had an awful overbite and a huge gap between my teeth. So in the third grade, I got braces. I remember still losing baby teeth when I had braces! In the third grade, I was the only kid in my class with braces for years since most of my friends got braces in middle or high school.
I went for five years sleeping with headgear, rubber bands, tightening, no gum, or hard candy. My Orthodontist used to joke that my mouth has paid for several home renovations! My reward was having my braces removed on my 12th birthday and I think I chewed gum for a month straight! Fast forward 17 years, I still wear my retainer every night and take excellent care of my teeth.
I am always looking for products that deliver and do more. My secret to white teeth and fresh breath? The new Colgate TotalSF Advanced Whitening Toothpaste. With the new Breakthrough Formula of Colgate TotalSF you now get a toothpaste that strengthens enamel, provides sensitivity relief and neutralizes odor.
Colgate TotalSF does more for your whole mouth and fights bacteria on your teeth, tongue, cheeks, gums. While fighting sensitivity, tartar, cavities, plaque, and gingivitis, it also strengthens enamel, freshens breath, and whitens my teeth. I spent so much time getting the perfect smile, so I treat it to the best toothpaste!

I am SO impressed that you still wear your retainer!! I’m a Colgate girl too!
Your teeth look so good! I will have to try this toothpaste!!
Oral hygiene is super important, everyone sees your smile and it needs to be it’s best! I’m sorry you had to go through braces at only 7, that must have been so hard for you! (and that seems like a pretty rude thing for your orthodontist to joke about.)
Chic on the Cheap
You have the most beautiful smile! Your teeth are always so white! Clearly I need to try this!
I’m getting married this year, and teeth whitening is on the self-care list to prep for the big day .. definitely going to try this!

I wear my retainer all the time after having braces twice and Invisalign! I need to whiten my teeth again soon because it is an important thing for me to have a pearly white smile!
Our stories started out similarly – long time wearing braces at a young age. I had mine for three years and got them off at 13 years old, but I was allergic to my retainer! Flash forward to age 24 and I had to get them all over again. This time I chose Invisalign so I could have a pretty smile for my wedding. Now, at 25, I have a perfect smile all over again – and a retainer that WORKS. I’m trying to take the best possible care of my teeth!

The fact that you still wear your retainer is a huge accomplishment so kudos to you! Mine doesn’t fit my mouth anymore, so I will be looking to correct that very soon. XO
Wow all of that was well worth it! You do have a really beautiful smile!
