This post is in collaboration with Olivia Weir. I received complimentary microblading in exchange for this post. All thoughts and opinions of my microblading experience are my own.
One of the hottest beauty trends right now has to be microblading. If you don’t know what microblading is, Google defines it as “a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates hairlike strokes to fill in sparse or thinning brows.”
I’ve seen a few people have microblading done and I’m always amazed at how natural it looks. Instead of a line like a tattoo, the technique makes the ink look like actual eyebrow hair! I’ve been filling in my brows for a few years and it’s so annoying. I decided to do some research and have microblading done myself.
A couple of my friends recommended Olivia Weir. I looked at her Instagram, checked out her before and after photos, and immediately booked an appointment with her!
Olivia is currently at Live Skin in Brentwood. I loved Olivia immediately! She answered all of my questions and talked non-stop the entire time.

My Microblading Experience
How long does it take?
About an hour.
Does it hurt?
It doesn’t hurt but you do feel the pricks. It’s not a walk in the park but not unbearable!
What’s the maintenance like?
After your first visit, you go back in six weeks for a touch-up. After that, it’s yearly!
What do you do post-care?
The only post-care I did was putting A&D ointment on my brows at night. They got a little itchy after a week as a tattoo would.
What brand of ink do you use?
Olivia uses a variety of inks for different colors and textures. It all depends on the person!
How much does it cost?
The process went by so quickly, the only weird thing was my eyes kept watering for no reason! They look really dark and bold the day after but start to look more natural after that.
