JBL Fest 2022 Recap

I attended JBL Fest as a guest of Toyota. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago I got back from Las Vegas where I attended JBL Fest 2022. I had the best time seeing old friends, meeting new people, and having some much-needed bestie time with Alicia. Today I’m sharing all about JBL Fest and all the experiences with the festival.

What is JBL Fest/JBL?

JBL Fest is a 3 day brand festival in fabulous Las Vegas that is such a fun unique experience with a brand. Musical guests were Grammy Award Winner and JBL Ambassador Doja Cat, producer Martin Garrix, Bebe Rexha, and the newest global ambassador Kid Laroi.

JBL has been there for big moments in music and audio innovation and is the force behind music’s most pivotal moments – from revolutionary recordings, legendary concerts like Woodstock, and record-breaking rock tours, to iconic sports events like The Olympics. Through JBL Fest, JBL continues to play a central role in iconic moments all around the world.

While I was there I learned that worldwide, you will hear JBL loudspeakers at more than half of all motion picture theaters and JBL is the sound system of choice in major concert halls, venues, and stadiums globally, including 80% of live concerts, 70% of all recording studios and 90% of all THX-certified movie theatres. Who knew?!

JBL’s mission is to create a sound that moves you – transforming any occasion into an all-around epic experience. They definitely brought an epic experience over the three nights of JBL Fest.

The first night was House of JBL with Bebe Rexha. This kicked off the festival by celebrating the house that an immersive visual experience. There were photo ops, arcade games to play and so much yummy food. You could explore the brand’s cultural moments rooted within the worlds of music, sports, and gaming.

The second night was JBL Live on the event lawn at the Virgin Hotel. This was an outdoor festival-style
playground event with never-before-seen brand activations, unexpected moments, VIP hospitality, and live performances from The Kid LAROI and Doja Cat. The VIP section had a great view of the event lawn so we had great views of all the performances.

On the third day, we had the JBL Joy Ride Experience. We each got a Toyota vehicle with some amazing JBL car audio. We drove across Vegas and the Red Rocks listening to music with amazing speakers. Since 1996, JBL and Toyota engineers have teamed up to bring performance-level sound to a wide range of Toyota vehicles. The result is a bold, powerful soundtrack for drivers who are as pumped about music as they are about cars.

After we got back to the Virgin, our room had a special delivery! We got some JBL gaming headphones and a waterproof portable speaker and had a little pool party at the Virgin pool.

The third night was Club JBL at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand. JBL came to life inside one of Vegas’ most prominent nightclubs with VIP experiences, iconic soundscapes, and unmatched energy that went into the early morning with performances from Martin Garrix and DJ Tigerlily.

After three days of fun experiences, I headed back to Nashville feeling inspired! I also wore my JBL headphone on the way back and loved them way more than my other headphones so JBL has a new fan in me.
