How to Tailgate in Style

August 11, 2021

This how to tailgate post has been compensated by Inmar Intelligence and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.  #FallFootballSnackMatch

It’s hard to believe the summer is almost over, but with fall comes… FOOTBALL! That’s right, football games, tailgating, Sunday and Saturday hangs with friends and lots of good food. I’m so excited for fall sports to return and old traditions to be revived, starting with tailgating. If you have tailgated before at a football game, you know it can sometimes be more fun than the actual game itself. My big thing with tailgating is being prepared and having everything you need beforehand. Nothing kills a vibe quicker than being out of chips or your favorite drink!

Today I’m teaming up with PEPSI® and Publix® to show you how I set up for tailgating and how easy it is to stop at Publix and get everything from decorations to drinks, food, and everything in between. Check it out below!

How to Tailgate in Style

Step 1: Get Your Decorations

Check out Pinterest and get some inspiration beforehand. Do you want your decor to be in your team’s logo or colors? A pastel, girly theme? Personally, I stick to a classic football theme with my tailgate decorations. I have burlap signs, a greenfield tablecloth, green bowls, little plush footballs, and brown paper straws. I like to keep it classic and simple. Also, keep in mind the fancier the setup, the longer it’ll take to tear down before game time.

Step 2: Make Out Your Shopping List

I use Publix’s website to make and save my list. Then when I’m in the store I can go back to my list and take off what I get along the way. You can also spend and save with great offers at Publix. On my tailgating shopping list, I normally have…

  • Pepsi® 12pk
  • Neon Zebra® 6PK mixers
  • Lipton® 12pk
  • Cheetos®
  • Doritos ®
  • Lay’s ®(Wavy of Course)
  • Ice
  • Straws
  • Bowls
  • Napkins

PEPSICO at Publix has the ultimate collection of snacks and beverages for your tailgate!

Step 3: Get in the Team Spirit

Make your team proud by rocking the team colors! As you can see I’m #TeamPepsi and have on my Pepsi blue with pops of red. Also, check out my foam finger! Have some fun with your team gear and go all out. You’re with fellow fans, feel free to get a little crazy and have fun!
