How to Get Ready for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Everything You Need to Know

Shoppers rejoice! The 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is upon us. This year the anniversary sale will be July 14 – August 9 and if you don’t know much about the sale, it offers new arrivals from top brands like Madewell, Tory Burch, Vince, Cinq a Sept, and more!

What you need to do before the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Starts

As always, Nordstrom credit card holders get to shop the sale before everyone else during Early access. This means if you have a Nordstrom card of any kind, you can pre-shop the sale before it’s open to the public. You get all the early anniversary sale picks! But if you don’t have a card, you can apply here to get one before the sale starts!

If you’re a cardholder you’re also a Nordy Club member which means you get rewards for shopping and the best Nordstrom tailored just for you. If you know you’re going to be doing a lot of shopping it’s also a great time to use double points day towards your purchases. 

So the Nordstrom Sale technically starts July 6 at noon EST but you can’t shop anything! This is just the anniversary sale preview so you can see what’s on sale and make your wishlist. 

All card members can start shopping for the sale on July 15, but you can shop even earlier depending on your card status.

  • Icon early access is from July 14-17
  • Ambassador early access is from July 15-17
  • Influencer early access is from July 16-17

For non-Nordstrom cardholders, the sale opens to everyone on July 18 and prices go up starting August 6.

You can shop the sale in all open Nordstrom stores during normal business hours or through online shopping at 12:01 a.m. EST.

The Big Preview…

Nordstrom is giving everyone the ability to view all sale items starting July 6! This gives you plenty of time to save your favorites to your wish list (which can help you check out faster when it’s time to shop) and this preview will replace the print catalog for the year.

This is also a great way to see if the sale is worth your time. Some years I find a lot of great things but then times like last year where I only find deals on boots and call it a day. Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing all of my favorite anniversary sale items with you once I’ve looked through the preview.

In case you are wondering, this sale is great for wardrobe essentials like denim, tanks, and leggings as well as fall/winter pieces like boots, scarves, and coats. It’s also a great time to build a capsule wardrobe with these marked-down picks. If you shop for your beauty products through Nordstrom, this is also a great time to stock up. 

How often does Nordstrom have the #NSale?

Once a year! That’s why everyone makes such a big deal about it. You can’t beat these prices!

Do you have to have a Nordstrom Card to shop for the anniversary sale?

If you want to get your favorite items before they sell out, yes. But if you don’t want to get a card, the sale opens to the public on July 17 and prices go back up on August 6. 

What are the top items to get during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

I always check boots, handbags, and designer items first. These are pieces you normally get the best deal on. You can also find some awesome Barefoot Dreams blankets for a fraction of the cost.

  18. I typically love this sale, but this year it’s just “meh” to me! Almost everything I would buy I already have or am thinking the quality is probably lacking. It’s always a great sale for essentials though

  20. I think I realized I wasn’t cut out to be a “fashion blogger” (only) when I thought about how I’d never shopped the Nordstrom sale, or even cared about it haha! I know it’s like the main event for most style babes, and I think that’s awesome. There’s lots of goodies to get your hands on, for sure!

  22. I just went through the preview and found a lot of good this stuff! I always stock up on basics like spanx faux leather leggings and barefoot dreams cozy stuff. This year I’ll be getting a couple dresses and blazers too!
