Well, folks, we’re officially getting to the end of the year. It seems like as soon as October 1 arrives, the year moves into overdrive! We have a major holiday each month, family to see, vacation days to use, and to-do lists that seem to be a mile long. This is also a time of year when you get stressed, sick, and overwhelmed.
I’ve been here many times, and can I tell you a secret? The way to get through is to enjoy a quiet moment for yourself at least once a day. When I have something small to look forward to at the end of the day, it keeps me sane. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite ways to enjoy a quiet moment in a busy season.
How to Enjoy a Quiet Moment in a Busy Season
Self-Care
At the end of a busy day, a bubble bath keeps me going. Knowing I’m going to have half an hour to relax, not look at my phone, and not do anything is so refreshing!
A Special Treat
Does anyone else get so excited knowing their favorite candy bar is waiting for them at home? One of my favorite chocolate treats is Lily’s Sweets Chocolate Bars. These chocolate bars have no sugar added, are made with fair trade cocoa, and are GF certified! I grab Lily’s Sweets Chocolate Bars while I’m out shopping at my local Publix, and they carry five different flavors. My favorites are the Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Style, Salted Almond Milk Chocolate Style, and Original Dark Chocolate! Save 75 cents when you purchase any Lily’s Sweets Chocolate Bars or Baking Chips now at Publix!

A Glass of Wine
Sitting on your front porch on a cool night and enjoying the view with your favorite wine is a great way to unwind. I do this once a week, usually on Fridays as a way to welcome the weekend. I prefer whites and rosés in the summer (or when it’s 80+ degrees) and a heavy, dry red for colder months.
Take a Walk
Nothing clears your head and lowers stress like a 15-minute walk. Exercise releases endorphins, and that makes you happier and less likely to feel as overwhelmed about how busy this season can be.
You nailed how I love to have moments by myself!!

Walking is my favorite way to destress, me time, workout and everything in between.

Those Lilly bars look amazing! I’ve always wanted to try one but they are so pricey – maybe I’ll have to take advantage of this offer. Especially good to get my chocolate fix when I’m trying to avoid sugar!
Chic on the Cheap
I’ve never tried these chocolate bars, but I’ll have to grab myself a couple as a treat the next time I head to Publix. They sound delicious, and paired with that wine you’re suggesting, I think it would be a fabulous way to relax after a long day. Much-needed, especially during this hectic season!
Yes to all the chocolate!!
I LOVE chocolate bars, they’re so perfect for a little sweet treat. I’ll have to take a look the next time I’m at Publix, and the wine sounds like a great pairing!
what better ways to relax than with a sweet treat and a glass of wine! I also love to just get out and take a walk!!

I totally needed this!! I just started a new job so things have been crazy! I think it’s time for a massage! haha
My coffee break is always totally ME time, where I can clear my head and take a moment away from any obstacles I might be facing.
