When I travel I try not to be high maintenance about where I stay. I look for a good deal, a soft bed and a shower. When doing research on where to stay in London we saw The Belgrave. It had four stars on all of the travel websites and glowing reviews from guests. It’s also centrally located! It’s near the Victoria train/subway station. We were able to take a train from Gatwick Airport when we arrived and just walked down the road to our hotel. We also walked there when we left to take the subway to Heathrow Airport.
We were also within walking distance (well, a long walk) of some of the sights like The Eye, Big Ben, etc. Last time I stayed in London we were a little far from everything and had to Taxi around so it was nice to be closer this time.
The hotel was cute and nicely decorated with a little bar in the lobby so you could get water, alcohol or coffee. They also had breakfast downstairs for a small charge but we ate out mostly.
I will say this, our room was small, but I didn’t mind. When you are in London, the last thing you want to do is stay in your room. We would fall into bed late at night and get up early the next morning, so our room was exactly what we needed, a place to crash. But the bed was so comfortable and perfect for visit!
The staff was also super friendly and accommodating. Ready for a dinner recommendation or extra towels!
If you are ever in London, I would definitely recommend checking out The Belgrave. If I am in London again I will definitely be staying there!
