Thank you Heluva Good! for sponsoring this holiday game night essentials post. Include Heluva Good! Dips are the perfect way to add flavor to any occasion.
At the Hollar house, game night is something we have all the time. Whether it’s with family or friends, there’s nothing like gathering around the table and having some good old-fashioned fun (and competition).
It’s even more fun to have a holiday game night! You put on Christmas music, wear your favorite tacky sweater and eat lots of good food. It’s a great way to spend time with friends while spreading a little holiday cheer. If you want to host your own holiday game night, I’ve got a few essentials for you below.
Holiday Game Night Essentials
Board Games/Cards
You can’t host a game night without the games! I prefer board games and cards to electronic games. A few favorites are word games or games with the strategy behind them! You can also get cards and play Crazy Eights, Hearts, or Gin. To me, a night with family and friends doesn’t need to be spent around a TV or on phones, playing a game and talking is the best for catching up and bonding. Plus it’s fun when there are a few competitive people playing. I’ll admit I’m super competitive and go all out to win!

Holiday Decorations
Get in the holiday spirit and decorate your table with a festive tablecloth, garland, and other pretty greenery. A few decorations really set the mood for a party. My favorite is this Charlie Brown Christmas tree, it’s not too much and is perfect for the center of the table. Also, don’t forget plates, napkins, and silverware!
A Good Playlist
Plug your phone into a speaker and put it on your favorite Christmas playlist. Jam out to Mariah Carey, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, or the Jackson 5’s holiday albums for a fun party vibe.
The Right Food
When you are playing board games and hanging out, you want easy finger foods. The best thing to go with cheese, fruit, and crackers is Heluva Good! Dip. During the holiday season, I like to keep things simple and stay out of the kitchen. Heluva Good! is my go-to for easy party prep. My friends and family love it and it has become one of my party essentials!

If you want to try Heluva Good! for yourself, you can find these bold-flavored, rich, and creamy dips from Heluva Good! in the dairy aisle of your local supermarket– with seven flavors including French Onion, Buttermilk Ranch, and Bacon Horseradish. They also have a new limited-edition flavor, Nacho Queso Supreme! In addition to crackers, fruit, and cheese, you can also pair these dips with veggies, pretzels, tortilla chips, and wings. Easy!

And there you have it! All the essentials you need for a holiday game night with family and friends. Do you have a game night with friends or family?
