Oh hi, there September! This month completely snuck up on me. This year has felt a million years long so I’m glad we’re one month closer to it being over. But I have to say, I’m so glad September and fall clothing is here! There are a few trends I noticed in my Labor Day shopping that I thought I’d share with you!
HELLO SEPTEMBER AND FALL CLOTHING!
Autumnal Tones – Oranges, browns, and rust for fall? Groundbreaking. I will say though that mustard and rust and chocolate browns are the only colors I wear in the fall so I have a fondness for them. Dark brown faux croc is a huge trend I’m seeing in boots, handbags, and flats and it looks great with denim and a plain colored sweater. Madewell is the neutral sweater queen of fall so anything from there will look good with a statement bag or shoes.
Keep It Casual – Keeping in the quarantine tone, keep your fall outfits casual. I’m talking lots of henley’s, comfortable sets, ball caps and sneakers. I’ve been wearing this henley bodysuit from Reformation nonstop, it’s nice and thick and perfect to wear with jeans or a denim skirt with sneakers. Comfortable while also looking somewhat put together.
This Year’s Hottest Accessory? The Face Mask! – I’ve actually been having fun matching my face mask to my outfits. Face masks aren’t going anywhere anytime soon so we might as well have some fun with different prints and styles!
Classic Denim – You can’t go wrong with a good pair of jeans. For fall I see no fuss or frills, just classic denim with no holes. Cropped, straight leg, flared, skinny, or paper bag, it doesn’t matter the denim, just invest in some good denim that will last you a while.
