With the time change and temps on the rise, I’m starting to get my house ready for spring. I’ve swept and wiped down the front porch, gotten all my spring decor out of storage, and playing around with brighter colors! After a long winter and being in a funk, it lifts my spirits to see brighter colors and get a spring tablescape on the table.
Today I’m going to walk you through my thought process behind today’s tablescape and how to recreate it at home for yourself.
Green and Gold Spring Tablescape Idea
Plates
I got these gold chargers on sale at Target a few years ago and it’s always a great base for a tablescape. Usually, with my tablescapes, I pair my Mackenzie Child’s Courtly Check plates with the gold chargers since they have a gold rim. For a spring look, I added these green glass salad plates to go on top to add my spring pop of color! These green plates were a great find at an antique shop.
Glasses
For drinking glasses, I have these fun antique, art-deco gold/orange glasses. I got these when my grandmother passed away earlier this year. They also came with a matching pitcher that sits in the middle of the table when I have company over. It’s usually full of sweet tea or water, but I like to think it’s a piece of my grandmother that’s always there when I entertain.

Then for wine glasses, I have these Mackenzie Childs wine glasses. These glasses have the matching Courtly Check print at the base of the wine glass. It goes with the gold theme and adds a continued pop of print to the table!

Silverware
Who doesn’t love gold silverware? These are from Crate & Barrel and look so sleek. Gold accents instantly brighten a table and match the green and gold table runner perfectly. Now my table is set and ready for a girl’s night in or double date with another couple!

Any time I see tablescapes like these, it makes me wish I actually had a dining table haha! I have a small bar-style table for two in my living room because we don’t have a true dining room in our townhouse. One of these days, I’ll have space for an actual dining table so I can do seasonal tablescapes!
I wouldn’t think to put these colors together, but it works! Love how it came out! xoxo, Sarah
This is such a fun color scheme for spring, I love how playful the different textures, colors, and patterns are and how well they play off of one another!
What a fun color combo! I wouldn’t have thought to put those two colors together but they look great! Very creative!
