Today I’m teaming up with Boohoo to talk a little bit about graduation and graduation dresses!
If you don’t know, this summer I’m finishing up grad school, working on my research project and ready to graduate in August. Boohoo reached out and asked me to talk a little about my undergrad graduation outfit and it made me think about how far style wise I’ve come in the last (almost) five years!
When I graduated from Belmont University in December of 2012, I had just gotten married and had a red pixie cut. To graduation I had on black patent leather flats, long pearls hot pink tights and a black faux-turtleneck dress. It was a risky look but those pink tights helped me stand out! Below is a photo of me and my family at graduation.
Now five years later, I’m going a different direction with my graduation look. I love this structured, birds of paradise dress. It’s form fitting on the top but the bottom is so fun! The colors in the dress are so vibrant and my shoulder-length tassel earrings were the perfect accessory. All you need now are neutral colored shoes and bag. Cue these black heels (that are so comfortable) and metallic crossbody. It’s not only a super cute date night look but I would so wear this to my graduation in August!
I mean how cute is this dress?! This a piece I also think will come with me to The Blog Societies conference in August. I’m obsessed!
What did you wear to your graduations? Do you love the Boohoo graduation dresses as much as I do? Share with me in a comment below!
