Girls Trip to Nashville: a Local’s Travel Guide

November 15, 2021

This post about a girl’s trip to Nashville contains affiliate links.

Last week, I had some very special visitors come see me in Music City. My girls from the travel group, Babes That Wander, came to Nashville and we had the best time exploring the city. I put together a pretty cool itinerary and thought I’d share with you everything we did in today’s post.

Girls Trip to Nashville: a Local’s Travel Guide

Where to Stay

The Waverly (12 South): If you’re looking for an Air BNB in a quiet neighborhood with a kitchen, living room, laundry room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, I 100% recommend booking The Waverly! It’s an easy walk to 12 South and below you have Lady Bird Taco and a Spin Studio. Each of the babes had their own room and bathroom and it was so nice to have so much space to ourselves! We also enjoyed the patio and brought out blankets and wine to enjoy the crisp fall weather.

Where to Eat

Loveless Cafe: The Loveless is a Nashville institution. Go first thing in the morning (I mean early) and get you some biscuits! The Loveless is a little out of the way off Natchez Trace but it’s close to Cheekwood so head there when you’re done! Also set aside time to take a photo outside the iconic sign and browse the quaint shops. Everything on the menu is delicious, you can’t go wrong.

Hampton Social: What’s a girl’s trip without taking a photo in front of the iconic Rosé All Day sign at Hampton Social! This is located in downtown Nashville near Broadway and it’s always a good time for out of town guests. We shared pizza as an appetizer and enjoyed Frosé, chicken fingers, salmon, steak, mac’n’ cheese and were stuffed by the time we left! It’s the perfect spot for a girl’s night out!

The Dutch: One of the hot new spots in The Gulch is the W Hotel. Located inside is The Dutch! We headed over for a late dinner one night and loved the moody vibe and fabulous food. We started with cornbread, oysters, wine and bourbon and for our main dish had the fried chicken and biscuits, scallops, burger and duck! Stay tuned, there’s a full blog post coming on this space soon!

Twelve Thirty Club: Any Justin Timberlake lovers in the group? Head to the new Twelve Thirty Club at 5th & Broadway! The bottom level is more honky tonk with live music, the middle level is The Supper Club with a speakeasy vibe. We enjoyed cocktails on the roof with an amazing view of Broadway and Downtown Nashville! Make sure your phone is charged to take photos at all their fun neon signs.

Anzie Blue: My FAVORITE brunch/breakfast spot in Hillsboro Village is Anzie Blue. You can get your coffee and cocktails with CBD! Brunch is served all day and they also have a great dinner menu. The space is adorable in shades of the famous “Anzie” blue. Right now they have a ton of seasonal coffee and cocktail drinks. Try the Sweet Potato Chai, Caramel Bourbon, or Coffee Palmer. We shared a breakfast board and everything was perfection!

Fairlane Hotel Pop Up Bar: I love the Fairlane Hotel and their seasonal pop-up bars! Currently, they’re wrapping up the ‘Falling for Fairlane’ fall bar and am so ready to go to the holiday pop-up when it launches in a few weeks! No matter what season it is, the Fairlane has a pop-up in their penthouse so stopped by for a drink.

Where to Shop

The Golden Slipper: The Golden Slipper is a sweet little store that has a little bit of everything. You can find balloons, barware, furniture, candles and so much more. They also have fun workshops you can participate in!

Apple & Oak: If you’re in the East Nashville area, this is a must see! Apple & Oak has some gorgeous vintage rugs but they also have furniture, drink ware, bathmats, and other unique home stuff. They also have the cutest store that’s perfect for an Instagram op.

Whiskey Water: Want to dress like a Nashvillian? Get some things at Whiskey Water. The pieces are so cool and unique, you’ll be looking like a local in no time!

Krewe: Krewe has a cool store in 12 South in front of White’s Mercantile. If you’re heading to the bright lights on Broadway, you need some fab sunnies to cover your eyes! At Krewe you’ll find some cool and colorful frames that are so unique. Get matching ones with your besties for your girl’s trip!

Boot Barn: While the girls were in town, we went to a fab event with Boot Barn and were able to all get cowboy boots that we loved! Boot Barn has a store on Broadway and you can ready to honky tonk the night away in some new cowboy boots.

All Dressed Up: The cutest boutique in Hillsboro Village is All Dressed Up. They have any type of women’s clothing you need and also some tees and sweatshirts just for Nashville! I’ve attached them below.

What to Do

Cheekwood: The Cheekwood Botanical Gardens is the perfect spot to get outside and walk around. We walked around the beautiful fall foliage and enjoyed the beautiful views! In the coming weeks they’ll be putting up the holiday decorations and have the Lights at Cheekwood, which is one of my favorite Nashville events.

Pins Mechanical Co.: One of my favorite places for a night out in Nashville! Pins Mechanical Co. You can play arcade games, bocce, foosball, duckpin bowling, and pinball. We had lots of drinks and bowled for over three hours and had the best time competing, laughing and bowling together!

Lemon Laine Oil Bar: In East Nashville, there’s a cute little shop called Lemon Laine. They have beauty and wellness products. They also have an oil bar where you can get with a group of friends and make your own custom face oil! Your session starts with the Lemon Laine team getting to know you and your skin goals. Then the specialist blends oil just for you. There are over 12 million possible combinations! You can sip on champagne during the process and leave with your own oil!

Goo Goo Class: Nashville is the home of the infamous Goo Goo Cluster. You can visit their store off Broadway and tour their showroom. Also,yYou can also book a class and make your very own Goo Goo. You pick everything from the ingredients to the type of chocolate, cover it in chocolate and decorate the box!

Tour the Gibson Garage: We are in Music City so you have to do some music things! You can take a tour of Gibson’s Nashville store and stage. You can buy a guitar, customize a guitar, listen to live music, buy merchandise and learn all about the brand! I loved being able to try guitars in the acoustic room and seeing all the unique guitars.

Astrology Reading with Brad Williams: What’s more fun for a girls trip than getting an astrology reading? We met up with Brad at the Astro Den, an Air BNB in Wedgewood Houston. Before the session we gave Brad our birthdays, time of birth and place of birth and he had our charts ready for us. If you’re interested in booking with Brad, he takes up to groups of 5 and the reading takes 2-3 hours. Brad goes through everyone’s charts and explains everything to you! I learned so much in my reading and found it so fascinating.

Get Your Guide East Nashville Food Tour: What’s better than a food tour on a girl’s trip? We headed to East Nashville and did a food tour at some phenomenal places. I’m a local and even I hadn’t been to some of these places before! I won’t spoil the fun but this is a must-do if you’re a foodie and love enjoying local cuisine on your vacations.
