With Halloween a week away, it’s time for this girl to get her butt in gear and get a costume together. In high school, we had a 1920’s dance my senior year and for some reason, I still have the costume. After trying it on and seeing it still fits, I decided that a Flapper will be the perfect Halloween costume!
You can’t get into the Flapper spirit without nailing the hairstyle. So today I’m going to show you how to get Flapper hair for Halloween.
If you’re doing any sort of hairstyle for Halloween you need a good mousse and hairspray. So I headed to my local Walmart and got the Got2b® Volumaniac Hair Spray / Volumaniac Mousse. This exclusive root boosting technology will create the insane lift you need to take your style to a whole new level.
So with my products, I got to work on my Flapper hair. If you want flapper hair you need to have clean hair. I wash my hair once a week so I washed my hair and then added the Got2b® Volumaniac Mousse. You shake the can, spray into your hand and then rub it in your wet hair.
Once you blow dry your hair you can turn on your curling iron and get started.
Whether you part your hair to the right or the left, make your part deeper for your flapper hair. A lot of the sites I read said to part it with the arch on your eyebrow.
Take the clip out of the top half and start barreling the curl to the front. Take inch-wide sections around your hairline and wrap your hair over the iron and around the barrel. Make sure your curls look as uniform as possible.
Once your hair is curled you’ll begin to tease each pigtail. This helps with volume in your faux bob.
Now runs your fingers through curls and arrange them in soft waves. Once they’re where you want them to be set with a bobby pin and with the Got2b® Volumaniac Hair Spray. Once your waves are set, start pinning the longer pieces under for a faux bob and set and spray.
Add a sparkly headband, put on your costume and you’re good to go!
