Better late than never right? I realized the other day that I never shared my 2018 New York Fashion Week weekend with y’all. I hope I remember everything and here it goes!
February 2018 New York Fashion Week Recap
February 2018 New York Fashion Week Recap – Friday
Tim is in grad school and has classes on Thursday night. So we left for fashion week bright and early Friday morning. Our flight was at 6:30 a.m. So early but great price! On the plane, I worked on editing videos and Tim did some homework. We were so excited to get to New York that we couldn’t sleep!
We arrived in New York around 10 a.m. If you don’t know, I hate paying money for taxi’s/uber’s/Lyft’s when I’m in a big city. I’ll either walk or take public transit. So we took a bus from the airport to the bus station and hopped on a subway to our hotel, The Moxy Time’s Square. I think we paid $8 a person to get into the city! My MetroCard is my BFF in New York.
We checked into the Moxy and OMG it is the coolest hotel! The decor and vibe are amazing and there’s an Urban Outfitters and Shake Shack around the corner.
I had two showroom visits but both girls came down with the flu. We took this as a sign to take a nap.
We woke up, got ready, and went to get pizza at Joe’s. Pizza is one of my favorite foods so I was a happy girl! To walk off our meal we walked around Time’s Square and did some people watching. So much fun!
My only show on Friday was Sherri Hill, and they let Tim in with me! I had a standing ticket so I got there early to scope out a good spot. This was my first Sherri Hill show and I loved all the dresses, sequins, and fringe! Made me want to go to a fancy event!

After Sherri Hill, we headed to the Hong Kong after-party at the High Line Hotel. There we met up with Lindsey and had fun listening to music and people watching. One great part was they had a mini-presentation so you could see the clothing from that morning’s show! The pieces were amazing!
February 2018 New York Fashion Week Recap – Saturday
Tim took one look at my Saturday schedule and decided to stay behind. It wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be in New York but it rained all day! I had to carry my umbrella with me everywhere. The day started off strong with Dan Liu. His collection had a sexy 007 vibe and the models were the chicest spies!

I met up with Alicia and Lindsey here and we were famished! We stopped for coffee and breakfast at The Roxy. I’m so lucky to have Alicia and Lindsey in my life. They are a great support system but help keep me grounded at the same time. Every girl needs girlfriends who are real with her!
After breakfast, we made our way to Misha Kaura. This was a short presentation and we had half an hour in the space to look at the collection. I loved the dresses and gorgeous detailing. Below are a few of my favorite looks!
After Misha Kaura we were supposed to head to a makeup event but it was so packed when we got there. We decided to pass and hang out at The Standard High Line until our next shows.
Next up was Son Jung Wan. I had a standing ticket but got to find a place to sit before the show started. I even had a celeb sighting there – Kelly Rutherford (AKA Lily van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl). Son Jung Wan had such fun and colorful pieces that I would love to have in my closet!
At this point, my feet hurt, and Tim was ready to meet up. We met back up at the hotel and I changed into comfortable shoes and headed across town for my last show of the day, Mac Dougal.
Unfortunately, there was a problem with my ticket and they wouldn’t let me in. So we settled for dinner and more walking around! There was a late Preds game on so we hung out in our room while I worked and cheered on my boys.
February 2018 New York Fashion Week Recap – Sunday
On Sunday, I only had one event and it was with Kendra Scott at Paintbox. Here I got such a fun manicure with the latest Kendra Scott colors. Such a nice way to treat me. After this, I promised Tim the rest of the day would be non-fashion-related. So we ate pizza, went to the MET, got bagels, took some blog photos, and went to a New York Islanders hockey game. You can read a little bit more about all that here! After the game, we made one last stop at Shake Shack.
We called it a night after all this since we had another early flight. We got up at 4:30 a.m. to make our 7:30 a.m. flight.
