One of the things I get asked most during the holidays is where I get my Christmas ornament earrings. Fun fact; I make them myself! They’re so easy to make and you only need two things to make them. Take a look at my step by step guide!
DIY Christmas Ornament Earrings

Step 1
Get the ornaments — These ornaments are from Target and were found in the $3 aisle. They had a group with light blues, pinks and purples, and these matte ornaments. Decide what color you want.
For today’s tutorial, and since I’m going to a Predators hockey game tonight, we’ll go with the gold.

Step 2
You can buy earring hooks at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s or JoAnn’s. And I’m not sure why but when earrings break and I throw them away I always keep the backs. So I had two clear backs to go on the hooks.

Step 3
Put the hook on the ornament. You might have to get some pliers and make sure it’s on there good and tight. If it’s loose and the earring falls out the ornament breaks and you have glass everywhere. It’s happened to me a few times…

Step 4
Put hook on the second ornament and make sure it’s secure.
Step 5
Viola! You have east, festive earrings for the holiday season. You can always leave them on the tree and when you’re getting ready just pick out which color goes best with your outfit.
I love how easy this tutorial is! I might have to give it a try since I have some leftover ornaments that we didn’t put on the tree this year!
Oh my goodness, these are so cute! I love his DIY idea and how easy it looks to make. I love the idea of keeping them in the tree too. Brilliant!

Holy cow! So cute and easy! Hello! Winning! 🙂 I am going to try this!
These are amazing…and seem so easy to make! I’ll bet buying the ornaments right after Christmas would make them even cheaper ;). I’m going to have to try to do these with a few spare moments this week!
Absolutely! Thanks for commenting and Merry Christmas!
