Thank you California Closets for sponsoring this dream closet post.
Being a blogger and always on the go, life can be a little hectic. I’ll be the first to say that my house is a hot mess 75% of the time with my closet being the worst.
One of my goals for 2018 was to re-organize my closet and learn to utilize the space I have better. So last week I headed to the California Closets location in Cool Springs to talk to Rebecca Crutcher, Design Consultant, on designing my dream closet and what you need to know. But first, if you want to know what to expect at your design consultation, click here.
DESIGNING MY DREAM CLOSET
We started the appointment with a tour of the showroom. There were three closet spaces to look at and each one was AMAZING. I would gladly have copied any of the designs and installed them. There were drawers with ironing boards, scarf racks, jewelry shelves and so much more!
Then I sat down with Rebecca and showed her photos of what my closet looks like and how I want it to be. Rebecca was great and showed me several 3D mock-ups of closets she had done that were similar to mine. We discussed the budget, personal style and what I need most in a dream closet. Personally, I have a lot of shoes, handbags, and jeans. I’d, of course, need all of my hanging clothes but I need additional storage up top or below for all my accessories.
I got to look at all of the finishes in the design center and loved all the finishes in white with a fun pop of color. California Closets has an extensive range of beautiful finishes to choose from, from clean and simple white, to proprietary textures imported from Italy, all of which are environmentally sustainable and California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant. I’m a creative girl, anything I can customize and make my own is so fun to me!
A few of you might be thinking about budget, the good news is many locations offer seasonal promotions and/or financing options. This is definitely an investment and California Closets understands spending within your means. Just contact your local California Closets for details.
Another problem one might think of is not being good with home decor/style. The California Closets’ professional design consultants will collaborate with you to create a custom design. This design will meet your needs and reflect your personal style.
Rebecca also shared what she learned at the latest California Closets conference where Marie Kondo spoke on the KonMari method. The KonMari method is how an organized space can help foster joy in your home. Learn more about Marie Kondo and this method by watching the video below.
California Closets has locations all throughout the United States. I encourage you to at least call and schedule a consultation. You know what they say, an organized dream closet makes for an organized life!
