It’s hard to believe another fashion week has come and gone! If you didn’t follow along on my Instastories I have all the details on the first day for you today.
I flew into LaGuardia at 10 a.m. and took the bus and subway to the hotel. I’m a huge fan of the public transit in New York. I only Uber/Lyft if it’s late or if I’m with friends. Other than that I take the subway!
I stayed at the DoubleTree in Chelsea and check-in was at 4 p.m. I had to get ready for a busy day so I changed and got ready in the lobby bathroom.
I met up with my roommate Lee of LegalLee Blonde and met Alicia for a quick lunch at Westville Chelsea. I will say one thing, during NYFW I need all the carbs. If I eat a salad or fruit, I’ll be hungry five minutes later! So after a lunch of a chicken sandwich and french fries, we walked to Pier 59 for the first show of the day.
We were lucky enough to go backstage at Pamella Roland with DryBar. We got to see the hair and makeup inspiration for the show as well as have our hair done by the fantastic DryBar team!
The founder of DryBar, Alli Webb was also there. She was the nicest and looked amazing in her red Pamella Roland suit!
Then we got to sit front row at Pamella Roland. This was my first PR show and it was AMAZING. I loved the entire collection, especially a yellow suit and black tulle dress!
After the show, we headed to the Joules showroom. Joules was one of the sponsors of #tbscon and I absolutely loved the brand! Their showroom was so much fun with a pink telephone booth, flower wall, and amazing displays! We got to see some of the pieces from spring 2019 as well as the current fall collection.
At that point, we went back to the hotel and called it an early night. These dotted overalls, striped crop top, clear slides, and velvet headband was my all day outfit. I love pattern mixing and thought the outfit was a hole in one. I met up with photographer Angelene Nina and she shot some fun outfits in front of the Flat Iron building.
