This post about the Mazda CX-5 is written in collaboration with Mazda. All thoughts are my own.
It’s hard to believe that this time two weeks ago I was cruising around the Florida Keys with my mom! When we were planning our trip, we knew we wanted to go to Miami but also wanted to visit Key West and drive around the keys. Mazda was kind enough to let us test drive the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Signature AWD. I’m excited to share more about this car and why I’m obsessed with it in today’s post.
Cruising Around the Florida Keys in a Mazda CX-5
About the 2021 CX-5
The Mazda CX-5 stands out from other compact crossover SUVs with its modern design and energizing driving experience. The 2021 CX-5 has the largest-ever infotainment display, new i-Activsense safety features, and a new stylish Carbon Edition. These enhancements complement the CX-5’s sophisticated design and available turbo engine to help further encourage owners to seek inspiring adventures.

Features
The CX-5 has many amazing features. One of my favorite features was the 10.25-inch large center display. I connected my iPhone to it and was able to play my music and have a large navigation map pulled up so I could see where I needed to go. The Bluetooth connection works on Androids as well!
The Mazda CX-5 was also so easy to drive. It was smooth driving and the steering wheel was leather-wrapped and the driver and front passenger seats were heated. We didn’t need it in Florida but it was nice to have it just in case. The leather seats have dual-zone automatic climate control and if you sit in the back you can enjoy a center armrest and two USB charging ports.
I joked with my mom that I felt like I was driving a spaceship with high tech it was! It was a keyless entry, there was a camera to help you with backing up and there were endless little gadgets and buttons that made driving easier. It was a bummer going back to my own personal vehicle after living the luxe Mazda life for a week!

My Thoughts On the Car
I currently drive a 13-year-old car with zero bells and whistles. It was so cool to upgrade for a week with rearview cameras, a screen to help with navigating, push start, and more. I also am a sucker for a sunroof. If you’re driving in Florida you have to have a sunroof! The car was super sleek and very comfortable. The drive was 4 hours from Miami to Key West so it had to be comfortable! It also had great gas mileage. We didn’t have to fill up once during our trip!
The CX-5 also had so much room. My mom and I don’t pack light and had four suitcases and two carryons in the car. The suitcases all fit in the trunk comfortably leaving us with lots of room for souvenirs and more shopping. This car gets two thumbs up from me!

Ohhhh what a perfect size for vacation! I actually really love reading car reviews. Thank you for putting this on my radar.
I’ll be honest – I just don’t know much about cars, so I can’t say what my true thoughts are about this because I don’t know enough about it haha! But it does sound like a great vehicle from your post here and I bet it was nice to have the upgrade on vacation!
I can attest to loving the ride of a Mazda Cx9, which is just a larger version. Is def a top contender for consideration! xoxo, Sarah
How fun! So kind for them to let you test it out! I used to have a Mazda and really enjoyed driving it!
