Last Sunday, I met a few blogger friends for the new Brunch at Mockingbird Nashville. They just started having Sunday brunch and we went the second week it was available.
The Mockingbird Nashville is a modern diner serving up global fare and delicious fun. The restaurant is led by the talented culinary duo of executive chef Brian Riggenbach and front-of-house extraordinaire Mikey Corona. Inspired by the restaurant’s namesake, Brian has created The Mockingbird’s menu to mimic its surroundings. Offering comfort food favorites influenced by the many global elements that make up American culture and cuisine.
The menu is crafted so that no two dishes are alike, pulling inspiration from the country’s melting pot of cultural diversity to create a truly exciting menu of varied flavors. The restaurant plays with a special sense of whimsy that is evoked in Brian’s menu. Playful in nature, each dish at The Mockingbird Nashville is a nod to the experience that Brian and Mikey want their diners to have.
The Mockingbird Nashville is one of my favorite places, and I eat dinner there whenever I can. The ‘Bird’s the Word’ is my favorite dish! So when I learned Mockingbird was opening for lunch, I jumped at the chance to go with my girlfriends, Rachel, Michelle, and Polly.
No brunch is complete without yummy drinks. Start with Wooooo Tang!, Paloma Pops or Bloody Thirsty. Then get donuts (Hole in One) for the table and split them. Honestly though, the donuts were life changing.
For the plates we ordered A-Tuna Fritatta, ‘Merica and Flock Yes. We ate until we were stuffed and had such a fun time catching up and eating good food! Check out the Mockingbird Nashville’s full menu here.
The food looks so yummy! I love finding new places to eat with my boyfriend.
