Last weekend was a busy one in Nashville. We had beautiful weather, a holiday weekend and a hockey game. With Saturday’s like this, I normally stay on the west side of town to avoid tourists and crowds. But I will venture out for a good brunch!
Tim’s parents were in town and we wanted to take them to the yummiest brunch in town. So we made our way downtown to The Southern Steak and Oyster! The Southern is near Bridgestone Arena, Broadway, and The Schermerhorn Symphony Center. It’s in a great location since you can grab dinner there before any downtown event. They have complimentary parking (with validation) or you can park in the garage across the street if you are going out after.
THE SOUTHERN STEAK AND OYSTER REVIEW
The Southern Steak and Oyster was busy with a line waiting outside the door! Luckily we had reservations and got to immediately sit down and enjoy brunch.
Everything on their brunch menu looked delicious. We had the hardest time narrowing down what we wanted! We started with coffee and juice and caught up while we waited for our meal.
My mother-in-law and I ordered the T for Tennessee, which is steak and eggs, Tim ordered the Chicken & Waffles, and my father-in-law got the Crab Cake Hash.
Everything was absolutely delicious. We cleaned our plates feeling full and ready to start our Saturday.
The Southern Steak & Oyster isn’t just a brunch spot. They’re open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and also for dessert and drinks. I also need to give a shout out to their oysters! Tim and I will definitely be back before a Predators game sometime soon.
If you stop by The Southern, tell them I sent you!
