A few months ago I was on a press trip to Dallas, TX. Not only was the trip itself amazing but today I wanted to share with you, the hotel we stayed in, the Virgin Dallas. Learn more about my stay and get a look at the suite below.
A Stay at the Virgin Hotel Dallas
About the Hotel
The Virgin is located in Downtown Dallas and has a lot of experiences and the best local eats within reach. The hotel had everything imaginable and was the perfect space to relax and recharge on a busy press trip.
The Room
I roomed with my fellow babe, Iesha, and we shared the Grand Chamber King Suite. The suite had a balcony with a gorgeous view of Dallas and a dining room area with a mini Smeg fridge. Then you walk into the living room where I camped out to catch up on emails and watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix. Walk past the Foosball table and you’re in the bedroom. A king-sized bed (that was so comfortable) and a TV that Iesha would use to watch Grey’s Anatomy as we fell asleep.
My favorite part had to be the bathroom. The walk-in shower was huge and the size of my closet and bathroom combined at home. There were two sinks, a vanity with great makeup lighting, and closet space. There was so much room and we felt right at home in our king suite.
Where to Eat
Commons Club
Every morning on this trip would start with breakfast at Commons Club. The Virgin website says, Commons Cub “boasts an open-style kitchen concept and dining room, including an exclusive chef’s table, where Chef Jonah Friedmann serves up creative French Meets Texan-style dishes using locally sourced, seasonally driven ingredients. From bold flavors to a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, discover an unexpected experience that rivals even the best restaurants in Dallas.”
You can also hang out at the beautiful, Instagram-worthy bar or in the secluded Shag Room. We had cocktails in there one night and it was so glamorous and sexy!
Open breakfast from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., weekend brunch from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner Sunday – Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday – Saturday from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
The Pool Club
When the weather is nice, hang out at the Pool Club. On the 4th floor of the hotel is the pool club. You can lounge by the pool and enjoy drinks and light bItes or hang out at the bar. We had a happy hour here one evening and seeing Dallas at golden hour was magical. I wish I had more time to spend poolside! (P.S. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation.)
The Funny Library
The first thing I saw when I checked into the Virgin Dallas was the Funny Library. It’s a quirky coffee spot with cozy nooks, lots of bright colors, and patterns with TONS of personality. Head down here one morning with your journal and enjoy this unique space with your first coffee of the day.
