Valentine’s Day is this weekend and to be honest, my husband and I have zero plans. He works on the weekends so on Sunday it’ll be me, the dogs, a few rom com’s, and my favorite chocolate. If you’re like me and your significant other is working, or you don’t have a Valentine this year, it’s the perfect time for some self-care.
I’m rounding up some of my favorite self-care tips for Valentine’s Day below.

1. Take a Relaxing Bath
There’s nothing like turning off your phone, lighting a candle, and relaxing in the tub. To add to the experience listen to some of your favorite music and throw in a bath bomb. If you’re feeling crazy add in a glass of wine and prop your phone up to watch your favorite Netflix show or movie!
2. Do Your Nails
One of my favorite forms of self-care is doing my nails. It instantly makes me feel more together, polished, and depending on the color, sassier. My favorite red is Cajun Shrimp by O.P.I. I also love After School Boy Blazer and Nude Beach by Essie.
3. Time to Get Pampered
Schedule a massage, get a blowout, wax your eyebrows, enjoy a facial. Whatever helps you feel pampered! When you feel good about yourself it boosts your mood and attitude!
4. Treat Yourself
Buy those shoes you’ve had your eye on, invest in a designer piece, get a nice piece of jewelry, get some new bedding. Don’t leave it to your Valentine to get you what you want! You’re an independent woman, get it yourself girl!
5. Focus On Your Health
This can be physical, mental, or spiritual! Take a spin class, go to yoga, meditate, pray, or journal. Check in with your new year’s resolutions or goals. If you didn’t make any goals at the beginning of the year, think and daydream about where you want to be this time next year.
6. Order Your Favorite Food
I love days when I don’t cook and order from my favorite restaurant. Also, pick up a bottle of wine and your favorite dessert like chocolates! Self-care is indulging in some good food every now and then!
