Nashville is so much fun in the summer. There’s frosé to drink, rooftop bars to visit, pontoons to rent and music to be listened to. But not everything in Nashville requires money and comes with a price tag. Today I’m rounding up 5 of my favorite free summer date ideas in Nashville.
5 Free Summer Date Ideas in Nashville
Walk Around Centennial Park
Centennial Park is a large park located close to downtown off of West End. It’s a beautiful place to walk around and see a scenic pond, the Parthenon, and lots of beautiful gardens. Take a leisurely stroll and stop and sit on a bench to take in the view and enjoy your sweetheart by your side. Even better if you grab some ice cream or froyo on a hot summer day to beat the heat!
Take in the City View at Love Circle
Love Circle is a place in Nashville that only the locals really know about. It’s off of West End Avenue and is a hill with a breathtaking view of Nashville. My husband and I have spent many an evening on Love Circle enjoying the view and enjoying dinner or ice cream. A local tex mex eatery, SATCO, is close by with some amazing tacos that travel well and a great date night meal for the low-key couple. If you have a breakfast date, grab coffee at one of my favorite local coffee shops.
Hike at Percy Warner Park
If you’re more active, hit the trails at Percy Warner Park. Enjoy the great outdoors and pass a few hours being active! If it’s ridiculously hot, try hiking in the morning, and don’t forget to bring some water and sunscreen!
Visit the Opryland Hotel
While the Opryland Hotel is famous for its crazy holiday lights, it’s just as pretty in the summer. If you don’t like being outside, the whole thing is inside so you’ll be cool and dry. Walk through all the different atrium’s, enjoy all the greenery, and don’t forget to look up! You can see the sky during the day!
Window Shop at the Mall at Green Hills or Cool Springs Galleria
Another indoor activity is window shopping. Nashville has two great malls, Green Hills and Cool Springs Galleria. Green Hills is more upscale with stores like Gucci, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and David Yurman. Cool Springs Galleria is a more laid-back mall with more fast fashion like Forever 21, Aerie, Macy’s, Dillards, and H&M. It’s always fun to people watch at this mall and they have a great food court.
