5 Best Workouts in Nashville, TN

August 18, 2021

Fitness is such an important part of my life. I work out at least 4 times a week and love switching out my workout. I get bored if I do the same thing all the time and I don’t push myself if I’m alone. I’ve taken a lot of classes around town and compiled a list of the 5 best workouts in Nashville. See if your favorite made the list!

5 Best Workouts in Nashville, TN

HOTBOX Fitness

A workout I enjoy? Boxing! This is a great class if you have stress from work and need to get out some anxiety and tension. The instructors really push you and when I go they have the absolute best playlists. It makes you excited to work up a sweat and to be honest, you feel like if anyone messes with you, you can be the crap out of them after this class. You can find them in the Capitol View area near downtown.

Shed Group Fitness

I really enjoy working out in a group. I’m competitive and like having others to keep up with. At SHED Group Fitness, each day of the week will focus on a different muscle group. You will be led through 3-5 stations of moderate to high-intensity exercises. SHED classes are designed for ALL fitness levels and it’s a great community. They have locations all over Nashville whether you live in Belle Meade, Germantown, the Gulch or East Nashville.

Studio Pilates in the Nations

A pilates studio just opened in the Nations called Studio Pilates. I instantly became hooked to their classes and love how low-impact Pilates is. Just because it’s low impact doesn’t mean it’s easy though. The owner, Elena, gives you a good 50-minute workout that you’ll be feeling in the days to come.

Farenheight Yoga

Located in 12 South, this is a yoga studio in a gorgeous 2-story building. Their yoga classes are on the harder side but are so challenging and the instructors are so sweet and friendly! When I go consistently, I can feel my core getting stronger and my anxiety melts away with breathing techniques.

Neighborhood Barre

Who doesn’t love a good barre class and feeling the shake! Neighborhood Barre has locations in Brentwood and Green Hills and is voted Nashville’s best studio in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020! You can go in-studio or live stream classes. Go have a great workout!

I gotta admit that I am not a huge fan of workout classes – I like to do things at my own speed. But I can definitely see how it would be fun to try different things!

Naturally, since I don’t live in Nashville, I’ve never been to any of these places, but I gotta say that the Spin, Barre, Yoga, and Bounce sounds like so much fun. I always like mixing up my workouts!
