I can’t believe I’ve been blogging here for almost 6 years and I’ve never shared my 4th of July wedding! My husband and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary today. We started dating on July 3, 2009, got engaged on January 3, 2011, and wanted to get married close to the date of our first date. So we decided to have a 4th of July weekend wedding which worked in our favor since our guests got this holiday off anyway. Making it easy for them to tack it onto the wedding week and not have to miss as much work.
Our wedding was on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Riverwood Mansion in Nashville, TN. We kept the 4th of July theme throughout every detail of our wedding. All our decorations were bought the year before on clearance and had tons of stars and stripes. Our groomsmen and bridesmaids wore navy and our flowers were red and white. I tied in the theme with sapphire jewelry and pearls with navy polka dot shoes. We couldn’t have loved our big day more. So I’m sharing a few snaps with y’all in today’s post!
