Well, the blogger/influencer event of the year is here. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This Sale is a big deal because items you would normally pay full price for are marked down. It’s a great time to get some end-of-summer pieces, early fall arrivals, home, beauty products, and more for great deals.
The anniversary sale 2023 has some great items and I’ve noticed a few trends while I’ve been shopping. See below for some trends I’ve spotted and how to style them!

Western Style Cowboy Boots
It’s a Coastal Cowgirl Summer y’all! Western-style cowboy boots have been a trend for years and aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The Nordstrom Sale is full of western style options from brands like Dolce Vita, Steve Madden, BP, and more. I’ve written a full post on how to style cowboy boots but my favorite way to wear them is with dresses and skirts!
Cargo Pants
I got some cargo pants this summer and was instantly transported back to the 2000s when I’d get them at Hollister or Abercrombie. Cargo Pants are so easy to style, wear your favorite crop top, printed tee, or graphic t-shirt with sneakers or booties. You also won’t know what to do with all the extra pockets you have for stuff!
Barbie Girl Pink
Barbie Core is all the rage right now due to the Barbie movie coming out later this month. Whether you want to be Professional Barbie in suits or Active Wear Barbie in a cute yoga set, the Nordstrom Sale has some phenomenal pink pieces from a Cult Gaia Arc Bag to a hot pink spinner suitcase! If you’re going to embrace this bold shade of pink go all out!

Faux Leather
Faux leather for fall? Groundbreaking I know. I’ve seen a lot of faux leather skirts, shorts, and pants this year and it’s honestly a trend I love. I wear faux leather skirts with a graphic tee and cowboy boots or with a crop top and shacket when it starts getting chillier. You can also dress these up and down if you work in an office and want to take your faux leather pieces from day to night with a shoe change or a switch of a top.

Shoes with Chain Detailing
I got some shoes with chunky chain detailing earlier this summer and have been OBSESSED. It’s a fun way to dress up a shoe and give it a more luxe look. You can wear shoes like this with jeans, slacks, dresses, skirts, really anything and everything. I found some flat and chunky heel options below!
About the sale…
All card members can start shopping for the sale in-store or online on July 17, but you can shop even earlier depending on your card status. You can view this sale before you get access but just add items you like to your wishlist.
- Icon early access is from July 11-16
- Ambassador early access is from July 12-16
- Influencer early access is from July 13-16
For non-Nordstrom cardholders, the sale opens to everyone on July 17 and prices go up starting August 6.
This sale is great for wardrobe essentials like denim, tanks, and leggings as well as fall/winter pieces like boots, scarves, and coats. It’s also great if you need to build a capsule wardrobe with these marked-down picks. If you shop for your beauty products through Nordstrom, this is also a great time to stock up.
