We’re in the full holiday swing ladies and gents! My holiday Christmas sweaters are in full rotation and I’m jingling all the way. I’ve gotten a couple of questions on a few must-have items for my holiday party outfit. Today I’m so excited to partner with Walmart and Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color on my 5 essentials for holiday party outfit! Take a look below.
Holiday Party Outfit Essential #1 – A Little Sparkle:
You know how much I’m loving sequins right now. But your sparkle can be in the form of a headband, earrings or necklace. Not all holiday parties are formal so you can have some fun with your sparkle!
Holiday Party Outfit Essential #2 – Tacky Christmas Sweater:
Let’s be real, not all holiday events are red carpet. Most of my holiday events are pretty casual so I have three or four sweaters that are my go-to. I love wearing holiday sweaters this time of year to anything and everything!
Holiday Party Outfit Essential #3 – Festive Hat/Headband:
I have a Santa hat, a reindeer hat and just got this headband. This will definitely be making an appearance on Christmas morning! I feel like Cindy Lou Who on the Grinch.
Holiday Party Outfit Essential #4 – Bold Lip:
This holiday season I’ve been doing a simple cat eye in favor of a bold lip. As much as I love a nude pink lip, I’ve been leaning towards red and plum. It’s an easy way to add a little glam to any holiday look.
Holiday Party Outfit Essential #5 – Fab Hair Color:
Looking fabulous at an event starts with your hair! And If you have roots showing or dull color, it can ruin your entire holiday ensemble. I got my hair colored in October and love the color. But it’s started to fade and look a little dull. So I headed to my local Walmart to pick up a color. I have used Schwarzkopf® products before and they never let me down. Walmart had a whole wall of Schwarzkopf® color but I chose the Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color. The color I ended with was the 4.6 Intense Cocoa.
The Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color has less hair breakage and pre-treatment for even color result. I got a color really close to my current color and love how it turned out! My hair color is vibrant and has such a pretty shine. Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color brings out confidence in every woman by gently restoring and augmenting her hair. With every purchase of Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color we can also help women get a fresh start through a partnership with Dress for Success®.

Let me walk you through the coloring process.
Forty-eight hours before you color your hair, perform an allergy alert test. I did mine on the inside of my arm by putting a thin coat of the Color Creme with a cotton bud. Leave it on for 45 minutes. Then wash it off. If any reaction occurs this isn’t the color for you.
Then apply the pre-treatment on dry ends of your hair.
Mix the Color Creme into the Application Bottle. Then close the Application Bottle and shake until all the ingredients are mixed into a smooth cream.
Now apply the application all over your head. Massage into your head and leave it in for 30 minutes.
Once your 30 minutes is up you wash the color out with warm water. Then add the step 3 conditional to towel dried hair for two minutes and you’re good to go! Below are my before and after results.
I thought I got a color that was close to my current color, but as you can see it was a little darker. I don’t mind it though! My hair is so shiny and soft right now. Don’t you love the way your hair feels after you dye it?
And that’s it! After these 5 steps I’m ready for any casual holiday gathering.
